"simple_summary": "God announces certain judgment against Jerusalem and also against Ammon. Babylon’s advance is under His control, and proud rulers will be brought down. No religious privilege, royal power, or false guidance can stop the Lord’s judgment.",
"simple_explanation": "Ezekiel is told to speak against Jerusalem and its sanctuaries. The Lord says He is against them, and His sword will come out against the whole land. Judgment is coming, and it cannot be stopped.\n\nEzekiel must also groan in public. His grief is a sign of the fear and collapse that are coming. The message is sure: what God has said will happen.\n\nThe chapter then speaks of a sharpened sword. This is a picture of God’s judgment prepared for slaughter. The proud rulers of Israel will not be able to stand before it. Their power will be brought low.\n\nBabylon’s king comes to a fork in the road and uses omens, but the Lord is the One directing the outcome. Jerusalem’s guilt has already been exposed by its sins. The crown will be removed from its ruler, and pride will be humiliated.\n\nThe same judgment also falls on Ammon. False visions and lying omens will not save it. The Lord will pour out His anger there as well. The chapter ends with a clear warning: the Lord has spoken, and His word will stand.",
