H533 — אַמִּיצּ אַמִּץ

1. be strong, of a people Gen 25:23 ( J ); of personal enemies 2Sam 22:18 = Ps 18:18; Ps 142:7 (all followed by מִן of comparison); also (without מן) prevail 2Chr 13:18 .

2. Imperative be bold (always || חֲזַק, חִזְקוּ), Deut 31:7; Deut 31:23; Josh 1:6; Josh 1:7; Josh 1:18 (|| id. + אַלתִּֿירְאוּ וְאַלתַּֿעַרְצוּ) Deut 31:6 || id. + אַלתַּֿעֲרֹץ וְאַל תֵּחָת) Josh 1:9 (|| id. + אַל תִּירְאוּ וְאַל תֵּחָ֑תּוּ) Josh 10:25; 1Chr 22:13; 1Chr 28:20; 2Chr 32:7.
