1. properly: ἄρσεν διανοῖγον μήτραν, a male opening the womb (the closed matrix), i. e. the first-born, Luk 2:23 (Exo 13:2, etc.); οὐρανούς, passive, Act 7:56 L T Tr WH; the ears, the eyes, i. e. to restore or to give hearing, sight: Mar 7:34-35 R G; Luk 24:31 (Gen 3:5; Gen 3:7; Isa 35:5; 2Ki 6:17, etc.).
