a. illustrious, honorable, esteemed (Xenophon, Plato, and following): 1Co 4:10 (thus in the Sept. for ðÄëÀáÈÌã, 1Sa 9:6; 1Sa 22:14; Isa 23:8, etc.; Sir 11:6 Sir 44:1, etc.).
