προσκοπή, προσκοπης, ἡ (προσκόπτω), an occasion of stumbling (so R. V. (but A. V. offence)): διδόναι προσκοπήν (namely, ἄλλοις), to do something which causes others to stumble, i. e. leads them into error or sin, 2Co 6:3 (cf. Winers Grammar, 484 (451)).
